Parent Guide
Help your kid(s) get the most out of Bobby's Math Club
Your Role
Your most important job is to be supportive and encouraging. Practice regularly, bring your kid to the math club, and we'll handle the rest. You don't need to be a math expert — just being there matters.
During Diagnostics & Growth Checks
Please let your child answer on their own, even if they get some wrong. This helps us understand exactly where they are so we can give them problems at just the right level. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes per subject.
During Practice
Practice is a team effort! Feel free to step in and help whenever your child needs it. There are no penalties for wrong answers, and the difficulty adjusts automatically. The best thing you can do is encourage them to try.
Tips for Great Practice
- *Keep it short. 10-15 minutes per session is plenty. Short and consistent beats long and occasional.
- *Celebrate effort. "I love how hard you're thinking!" goes a long way. Focus on effort, not just correct answers.
- *A few times per week is great. Daily isn't necessary — consistency matters more than frequency.
- *Breaks are OK. If your child is getting frustrated, it's perfectly fine to take a break. Math should feel like a game, not a chore.
Understanding Your Child's Progress
We give you several ways to see how your child is doing:
PDF Reports
After each diagnostic and growth check, we email you a detailed PDF report. It breaks down your child's performance by math area so you can see exactly where they're strong and where they're growing. Check your inbox after each assessment.
Progress Dashboard
Your parent dashboard shows live stats for each child — days practiced, problems solved, and current level. These update in real time as your child practices, so you always have an up-to-date picture.
Badges
Tap the trophy icon on your child's card to see their badges. Badges celebrate milestones like problems solved, days practiced, and steady effort. They're a fun way to recognize your child's effort and progress.
Help Us Improve
Bobby's Math Club is built by parents, for parents. We're always working to make it better, and your feedback is what drives that. If something isn't working, if you have an idea, or if you just want to say hi — we'd love to hear from you at support@bobbysmathclub.com.
P.S. If you ever have a question about one of the questions we ask your kid(s), simply hit "report an issue" on the explanation screen and we'll check it out.
