Reveal Math Kindergarten, Unit 6: Count to 100
In this unit, your child counts to 100 by ones and by tens and learns to start counting from any number, not just 1. Saying numbers in order this far takes practice, especially at each new ten. It builds on the teen numbers from the last unit and gives your child a counting tool for addition, which comes next.

Question 1 of 3
What comes next? 10, 20, 30, 40, __
- 60
- 50
- 41
How you can help
- Take turns counting by tens on a walk or ride: you say 10, your child says 20, and so on, all the way to 100.
- Say a number like 27 and ask your child to keep counting from there. If they freeze, count the next few together and let them take over.
- Count 100 steps on a walk together, and pause at each new ten so your child can be the one to say it.
Where kids can get stuck
- Inventing a word like "ten-ty" after ninety, not yet knowing that one hundred comes next.
- Going back to 1 to find the next number after hearing a starting number like 23.
- Freezing when asked to start from a teen number like 13, even though starting at 4 feels easy.
Practice makes perfect
Bobby's Math Club has practice problems that adapt to your child’s level, each with a detailed explanation and an easy-to-follow video, so your child can build confidence in these skills one step at a time.
