Reveal Math Kindergarten, Unit 3: Numbers 6 to 10
In this unit, your child counts, writes, and works with the numbers 6 to 10. They count groups arranged in rows, circles, or scattered; count out an amount when asked; and learn each number is one more than the one before. It builds on the numbers 1 to 5 from the last unit and leads into comparing numbers to 10.

Sample questions to try together
These are real questions from our practice. Tap the speaker to hear one read aloud, or the light bulb for a hint, and talk about the answer together.
Question 1 of 3
How many apples do you see?
- 9
- 7
- 8
How you can help
- Count the stairs together as you climb, and have your child say the last number. Then ask how many there would be with one more stair.
- Write 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 on paper, one number per sheet. Pick a sheet and have your child find that many of something, like pillows, socks, or books.
- Arrange 10 large blocks in a circle and ask your child to count them. Show them how to start at a block you marked with a sticker.
Where kids can get stuck
- Recounting all 8 blocks after one more is added, instead of knowing there are now 9.
- Writing 10 as 01, putting the two digits in the wrong order.
- Counting scattered objects and losing track of which ones they have already touched.
Practice makes perfect
Bobby's Math Club has practice problems that adapt to your child’s level, each with a detailed explanation and an easy-to-follow video, so your child can build confidence in these skills one step at a time.
